RN - CVOR

Registered Nurse – CVOR (Contract)

Location: California 95240
Pay: $64 – $68/hr

Schedule:
Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
Call: 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM (weekdays)
Weekend: 24-hour on-call coverage (3 weeks only)
On-call requirement: ~50% of the time (typically full weeks)

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Provides perioperative nursing care in the CVOR, including scrubbing and assisting in open heart (solo and team), vascular, thoracic, and general OR cases. Coordinates patient care, collaborates with the surgical team, floats as needed, participates in call rotation, and ensures safe, efficient surgical outcomes.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state of practice)

• BLS/CPR certification (AHA or RQI)

• Minimum 2 years recent open heart (CVOR) experience

• Strong scrub skills (independent open heart capability)

• Ability to take call as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree

• Experience in general OR cases (robotic, ortho, urology, GYN)

• Willingness to teach/train others

Additional Notes:

• Weekend and holiday on-call required

• Floating required (to main OR if needed)

• Vaccinations required per facility policy
