Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN | Cambridge Caregivers

Job Summary -12hr shifts 8a-8p every Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Cambridge Caregivers is seeking compassionate and skilled PRN Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our home health team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, working prn 12hr shifts 8a-8p every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, in the Dallas area, administer medications, and monitor ongoing health needs in accordance with each patient’s individualized care plan. Our RNs work independently in the field while collaborating closely with our clinical leadership team to ensure safe, high quality care.

This position is ideal for nurses who value autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful one on one patient relationships.

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings

  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.)

  • Administer medications as ordered

  • Provide wound care, including dressing changes and monitoring healing

  • Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and home care strategies

  • Provide palliative and comfortfocused care as needed

  • Respond to patient concerns with professionalism and empathy

  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors regarding changes in patient condition

  • Perform ongoing patient data collection and maintain accurate documentation

  • Develop, update, and follow individualized care plans

  • Perform treatments, procedures, and tests within RN scope of practice

  • Ensure all orders are followed, documented, and communicated appropriately

  • Assist with emergency response measures when necessary

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment

  • Build trust and rapport with patients and families

  • Deliver exceptional patient experience through responsiveness and care

  • Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff

  • Monitor staff adherence to policies, procedures, and clinical standards

  • Serve as a resource and mentor to patient care staff

  • Pursue ongoing professional development

  • Support and uphold the mission, values, and philosophy of Cambridge Caregivers

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of care

 

Registered Nurse Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Current RN license in the state of employment

  • Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to work independently and follow clinical direction

  • Compassionate, professional, and patientfocused demeanor

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation
