You will translate organizational strategy into action, identify opportunities for improvement, develop leaders, strengthen employee and physician engagement, and help shape the continued success of emergency and critical care services at Logan Health Whitefish.

We are seeking an experienced nurse leader to provide leadership for our Emergency Department and Special Care Unit (SCU). This is an opportunity for a strong clinical leader to join established, experienced teams and help shape the future of emergency and critical care services in our community.

Our 9-bed Emergency Department cares for more than 12,000 patients annually and serves as a state-designated trauma center. Our 4-bed SCU provides specialized care within our critical access hospital.

What You'll Do

• Provide leadership and oversight for Emergency Department and SCU operations.
• Lead, develop and engage experienced clinical teams.
• Partner with physicians, frontline leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care.
• Support trauma, cardiac and stroke initiatives.
• Lead your teams through the upcoming implementation of a new electronic health record.
• Support nursing excellence and organizational initiatives.
• Oversee staffing, resources, quality, performance and departmental operations.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident, collaborative nurse leader who can step into an established team, build trust and lead with credibility, accountability and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Leadership experience matters more than title. We welcome experienced nurse leaders who have demonstrated the ability to lead people, manage clinical operations and make sound decisions in a complex healthcare environment.

Emergency Department leadership experience is strongly preferred. Experience in trauma, critical access hospitals or other complex acute care environments is also valuable.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five (5) years of relevant leadership experience required.
• Current Montana RN License or a multistate compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana required.
• Working knowledge of the healthcare environment, healthcare reform and care delivery systems as they apply to the clinical practices of the assigned areas.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and computerized clinical documentation systems.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first.
• ALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
