This is a Registered Nurse – Emergency Department opportunity working nights (7PM–7AM) at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The facility offers a broad range of services including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, a cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, and a childbirth center, with PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations.

The role. The Emergency Department operates a 48-bed unit with flex space, using a team nursing and pod system model, with a dedicated social worker and unit educator embedded in the department. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. Nurses in this role manage a high-acuity patient population that includes trauma activations, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis presentations, as well as patients with ESRD, COPD, substance abuse disorders, psychiatric conditions, and cirrhosis. The department utilizes Cerner as its EHR and is equipped with Zoll Defibrillators, Level One Blood Transfusers, QinFlow Blood Warmers, Hospira Plum360 pumps, Freestyle and iSTAT point-of-care devices, and ultrasound-guided IV capability. Candidates should bring at least 2 years of acute care experience to this position.

What we're looking for.

  • RN – ADN (required education)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
  • Skills and experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation
  • 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
  • BLS required upon submission
  • All other required certifications can be obtained after hire
  • Candidates must obtain New Mexico licensure or applicable Compact licensure prior to start date (open to candidates who do not currently hold New Mexico or Compact licensure)

Schedule. Night shift, 7PM–7AM.

Compensation. $29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
