Position Title: RN Educator Behavioral Health Shift: Days Status: Full-time Compensation: $40.00 - $55.00 The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles. Position Summary Provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Provides consultative, educational and resource services to the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to enhance clinical performance and facilitate quality patient care outcomes. Work in conjunction with the department Nurse Manager and department Medical Director to ensure compliance and documentation of all department staff. Essential Functions Assesses, plans, evaluates, implements and documents the nursing delivery of care process. Performs various patient tests, administers medications and assists physicians within the scope of practice and training. Review and report all Quality Measures as required by EMSC. These activities shall include children from birth to 15 years of age. Under the direction of the Unit Director/Manager and the Nursing Education Department, develops competency-based programs for patient populations to facilitate standardization of patient care outcomes and adapts best practice findings to enhance patient care outcomes and clinical nursing practice. Performs needs assessment for the patient population and provides educational services to nursing personnel based on identified learning needs. Participates in the development, interpretation and evaluation of the Nursing Department policies and procedures. Assists in the education and preparation of nursing staff for accreditation visits (IDPH JCAHO).
