Job Description Electrophysiology Registered Nurse, (RN) also known as an EPS nurse, works with patients who have pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators and undergoing an EP Study. These patients suffer from abnormal heartbeats, a condition known as arrhythmia. A critical aspect of an EPS nurse is attention to detail and having strong assessment skills. EPS Nurses are highly specialized in not only health care procedures but also in how the electrical medical devices function as well.
