RN – Electrophysiology (EP)

RN – Electrophysiology (EP) (Contract) – New York (14642)

• Location: New York, 14642

• Pay Rate: $2,716 – $3,040 (weekly)

• Schedule: 3x12s, Day Shift

  • Primarily days with occasional late evenings

  • On-call/callback and holidays per unit needs

  • No weekends at this time

Position Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license (NY ONLY accepted)

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

• BLS (AHA only) required

• Proficiency in moderate sedation required

• Strong experience with cardiac/EP procedures preferred

• Experience with Epic documentation system required

Preferred Experience:

• Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience

• Familiarity with GE MacLab/CardioLab systems

• Experience with EP mapping systems (e.g., Carto, EnSite, Rhythmia)

Unit Overview / Procedures:

• Electrophysiology studies and interventions including ECGs and ablations

• RF and cryo ablations (AFib, flutter, AVNRT, WPW, atrial tachycardia)

• Device implants including pacemakers (single, dual, BiV, CSP), ICDs, leadless pacemakers, loop recorders

• Structural heart procedures such as Watchman and Amulet

• Laser and low-risk hybrid electrophysiology procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients, equipment, and sterile field for EP procedures and ablations

• Assist physicians during procedures, including circulator and procedural support roles

• Monitor intra-procedure data and support interpretation and documentation

• Maintain fluid management and assist with ablation catheter systems

• Coordinate with MDs, charge nurse, and vendors to ensure timely room readiness

• Assist with room turnover and ensure efficient workflow

• Provide backup pacing support during device implantation

• Document all procedures accurately in Epic
