Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to adult emergency patients, perform assessments, manage IV therapy, administer treatments, and respond to rapidly changing clinical conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• IV insertion experience
• Phlebotomy skills
• Conscious sedation experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Current New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED
• AHA BLS certification
• AHA PALS certification
• AHA ACLS certification
• English proficiency – read, write, and speak

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC certification where required by the assigned facility

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult Emergency Room patients
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Initiate and maintain IV therapy
• Perform phlebotomy as required
• Assist with conscious sedation procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status
• Respond to emergency and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Provide patient and family education
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and nursing standards
