Pay Rate: $2,800 – $2,925/week

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ER RN to provide emergency nursing care, medication administration, IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and critical patient management in a fast-paced Emergency Room.
Required Qualifications
2 years of recent ER RN experience.
At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience.
Current Massachusetts RN license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Successful completion of CCH Pharmacology Exam.
Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam.
Experience with IV administration and IV starts.
Experience with ventilator care.
Experience with telemetry monitoring.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred.
Approved de-escalation certification preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Provide emergency nursing care for patients with acute and critical conditions.
Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
Develop and initiate appropriate plans of care based on patient assessment findings.
Perform IV administration and IV starts.
Provide care for patients requiring ventilator support.
Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry.
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary personnel, and interdisciplinary teams.
Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
Utilize computerized nursing information systems appropriately.
Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education.
Participate in quality improvement activities, staff meetings, mandatory programs, and professional development.
Follow safety and blood/body fluid policies and procedures.
Maintain current knowledge of nursing techniques, regulations, and age-specific patient care requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, patient responses, and discharge planning.
Maintain patient confidentiality and hospital privacy standards.
Provide professional and patient-centered service to patients, families, visitors, and coworkers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
