RN Emergency Room I | Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington, DE
- Position: Registered Nurse Emergency Room I
- Facility: Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington, DE
- Unit: Emergency Nursing Wilmington
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 25, 2026
- Shift: 12-Hour Days| 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Call Requirement: None
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within the nurse's level of acuity
- Scheduling: Maximum of 3 days of RTO at submission
- Interview Process: Auto Offer ER List D
Requirements
- Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room/ER nursing experience no exceptions
- Recent Epic experience required
- RN license number and expiration date required at submission
- Current certifications with expiration dates required
- All RTO must be provided at the time of initial submission; requests submitted afterward will not be considered or approved
- Full SSN, DOB, and current address required for submission
Assignment Highlights
- Work in a fast-paced Emergency Nursing environment providing care to patients with varying levels of acuity.
- Utilize strong emergency assessment, prioritization, triage, and critical-thinking skills.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to stabilize and treat emergency patients.
- Provide safe, timely nursing interventions while maintaining accurate documentation in Epic.
- Must be comfortable working night shifts, holidays, and every third weekend.
- Travel RNs are expected to remain flexible with floating to areas within their competency and acuity level.
