o Stroke ready facility

General Information
o Beds: 17 exam rooms and 4 bed obs unit
o Experience? 18 months
o First-time traveler? No
Patient Types:
o Post-surgical, CVA, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Trauma, etc. Trauma Level III, MI, Pediatrics, Obstetric emergencies
Patient Ratios:
o 1:4
Required Certifications:
o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
Skills required
o Airway management and RSI knowledge, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI management
Support on the Unit:
o 2 ED techs from 1100-2300, LPN 1500-0300
o Charge nurse: Possible to carry patient load
o Phlebotomy? Yes
o IV/VAT Team? VAT team during the day, US guided IV trained RNs in unit
o Resource Nurse: Charge nurse
o RT: Yes
o Hospitalist Yes 24/7
o OT, PT, ST: Yes
