Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Setting: Critical Access Hospital

Position Overview

Bucktail Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The RN will provide rapid assessment, emergency treatment, and critical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries in a fast-paced ER environment. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Contract Details

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours

Pay Rate: $85/hr (Regular) | $127.50/hr (Overtime)

Shift: Nights

Shift Length: 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

Perform rapid patient assessments and triage in emergency situations

Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments

Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes

Assist physicians with emergency procedures and trauma care

Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation

Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Pennsylvania or Compact License preferred)

Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications preferred

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure emergency setting
