Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (RN ER)

Pay:$60–$65/hour (W2)
Schedule: Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading acute care hospital in Salinas, CA. The ideal candidate will have recent Emergency Department experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and current California RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency treatments.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Respond to trauma, stroke, Rapid Response, and Code Blue situations.
• Provide patient and family education and assist with discharge planning.
• Document all assessments and interventions accurately in Epic EMR.
• Float to similar departments when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current California RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Recent Epic EMR experience (within the last 6–12 months)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• Strong emergency assessment and critical care skills
• Willing to work during Thanksgiving (no guaranteed RTO)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• TNCC, CEN, or NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Charge Nurse or Preceptor experience
• Trauma and Critical Care experience
