Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Moreno Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity acute care setting, including Level I Trauma experience, and be comfortable treating patients across all age groups.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications safely following the seven rights of medication administration.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Perform emergency nursing procedures using sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Interpret diagnostic results and communicate significant clinical changes promptly.
- Utilize SBAR during patient handoffs.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and emergency patient flow.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response.
- Follow hospital policies, National Patient Safety Goals, and Core Measures.
- Document accurately in Epic EMR.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 4 years of Emergency Department experience
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Travel RN experience
- Experience in an acute care hospital with 40+ beds
- Experience caring for patients from newborn through geriatric populations
- Some Pediatric Emergency experience required
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred
- Traveler must live 50 miles or more from the facility
Required Certifications

- CPI Certification
