The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the assigned tour of duty. This position ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines governing skilled nursing facilities, and works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to ensure the highest level of quality resident care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the DON/ADON in directing daily nursing operations in compliance with regulatory requirements
Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating nursing policies and procedures
Ensure nursing reference materials and procedure manuals are current and accessible
Monitor compliance with nursing service policies and procedures
Prepare written and oral reports regarding nursing operations
Assist with discharge planning and coordination of nursing services
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Participate in facility surveys and audits conducted by regulatory agencies
Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information and report unauthorized access
Committee Functions
Attend and participate in interdisciplinary committee meetings as assigned (e.g., Infection Control, QAA, Pharmacy)
Assist in preparing reports and presenting information to committees
Participate in care plan and discharge planning meetings
Personnel Functions
Ensure adequate staffing of licensed nurses and CNAs for assigned shift
Delegate duties appropriately and supervise nursing staff
Conduct rounds to ensure care is delivered according to standards
Monitor attendance and report staffing concerns
Participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary processes
Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment

Education & Experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum of 2 years RN experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Current, active, and unencumbered California RN license
Current CPR certification
Knowledge and experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
