Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a RN - Gen Med for their Peoria, IL location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Works at the highest level of licensure by providing quality competent care, following best practice standards, working to achieve care goals and quality outcomes, and following the standards of care set by the state board of nursing.
  • Provides effective leadership in the delivery of quality nursing care by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions and collaborating with the patient to implement their plan of care.
  • Maintains confidential status of medical records and maintains documentation standards with accurate, timely, and complete recording and reporting. 
  • Acts autonomously as a vital component of the care team while delegating appropriate responsibility to the skill level of the employee and identifies patient care needs to accomplish a high standard of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team functioning as an advocate for those we serve.
  • Creates compassionate, service-oriented environment by following the nursing process in providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients and caregivers.
  • Provides a learning atmosphere by sharing knowledge with coworkers/orientation of new staff and by educating patients and their families to meet their health needs.
  • Participates in the quality and process improvements at client to attain clinical excellence.
  • Promotes financial stewardship by assisting with cost reduction without sacrificing quality.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment and complies with policies, procedures and protocols put in place to protect patients and Mission Partners.
  • Enhances professional growth and development by participating in and utilizing current evidence based information and keeps abreast of state and national accreditation, regulatory and safety standards.
  • Advocates for patients and their caregivers to positively influence value driven and effective nursing care within the healthcare continuum.
 
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
  • Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
  • BSN
  • Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
  • Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
