Overview
This position will provide health coaching to employees and GatorCare members to promote health, wellbeing, and sustainable behavior change. Approximately 70% of the position will be dedicated to providing individualized health coaching, utilizing evidence-based health coaching and behavior change strategies to help members identify goals, overcome barriers, and develop sustainable strategies to improve their health and wellbeing. The position will collaborate closely with GatorCare clinical care coordination staff to support member referrals and serve as a clinical bridge between care coordination and the GatorCare Employee Wellbeing team. Approximately 30% of the position will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of health education and wellbeing programs in collaboration with Employee Wellbeing Coordinators. This position will use nursing expertise, health education, and health coaching principles to support integrated, member-centered wellbeing programming.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or bachelor's degree in nursing required; master's degree in public health, health education, health promotion, or a related field preferred. Must possess a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida, or a multistate license permitting practice in Florida, required. Must maintain active licensure throughout employment.
Experience: Must have a minimum of one year of experience providing health coaching. One year of experience in health education, health promotion, public health, or a related field may be considered in lieu of health coaching experience.
License/Certification/Registration: Must possess a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida, or a multistate license permitting practice in Florida, required. Must maintain active licensure throughout employment.
Health coaching certification preferred; Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) may also be considered.
Other Qualifications: Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to develop positive relationships with employees, GatorCare members, healthcare providers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team. Must demonstrate the ability to apply evidence-based health coaching and behavior change strategies and work collaboratively across clinical and wellbeing teams.
