Job Description

Join our dedicated healthcare team to provide exceptional and compassionate care for individuals undergoing chronic dialysis treatment. You will be integral in delivering patient-centered care under the guidance of our Unit Medical Director, ensuring that all activities are aligned with organizational, state, and federal standards for healthcare delivery.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct initial assessments and provide ongoing monitoring for patients during dialysis sessions.
- Expertly manage patient dialysis access, including performing treatment initiation and termination.
- Administer medication as per prescribed orders and within your professional scope, maintaining detailed documentation.
- Swiftly address dialysis-related issues and other healthcare concerns, ensuring timely reporting and intervention.
- Collect and manage blood samples, and perform blood transfusions as required, following protocol.
- Create and regularly update personalized nursing care plans to meet patient needs.
- Educate both patients and their families, fostering a better understanding of dialysis and related healthcare.

**Operational Responsibilities:**
- Ensure all dialysis and water treatment equipment is properly operated, cleansed, and maintained.
- Support inventory management and unit organization by ordering supplies and overseeing equipment functionality.

**Collaborative Duties:**
- Facilitate clear and effective communication with doctors, patients, and family members.
- Mentor and guide new staff members, contributing to their professional growth and unit adaptability.
- Share your insights during team meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

**Requirements:**
- Active RN license as per state law compliance.
- Solid understanding of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) management and dialysis processes.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Maintain proficiency with all facility-related medical and emergency equipment, ensuring readiness for any care demands. Ideal candidates will have experience in acute care settings like ICUs, a background in hemodialysis is beneficial, and demonstrate a willingness to grow within our supportive healthcare environment.
