RN – Hemodialysis

Join our esteemed long-term care facility, where you will provide exceptional chronic dialysis care as a skilled nurse. Working under the guidance of the Unit Medical Director, you will ensure top-notch care for patients, aligned with facility and regulatory standards.

**Primary Responsibilities**

*Patient Management*
- Conduct the full cycle of hemodialysis treatments while evaluating patient conditions before and afterward.
- Employ precautionary measures for access care and treatment of isolation patients.
- Administer medications as per doctor’s instructions and nursing regulations.
- Swiftly identify and communicate treatment-related issues.
- Handle blood sampling and initiate blood transfusions.
- Create personalized nursing care plans and offer education to patients and their families.
- Uphold safety with best practices in body mechanics and infection control.

*Operational Duties*
- Efficiently operate and maintain dialysis and water processing equipment.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Report any equipment or supply challenges immediately.

*Collaboration & Training*
- Facilitate communication with medical teams and families for optimal patient care.
- Mentor new staff and partake in continuous quality improvement programs.
- Attend team meetings and assist with staff scheduling as necessary.

**Qualifications**
- Active state RN license.
- Comprehensive knowledge of kidney disease management and dialysis techniques.
- Willingness for ongoing learning and professional advancement.

*Equipment Proficiency*
- Candidates must be adept at using a wide array of medical equipment including hemodialysis devices, water treatment tools, and emergency systems.

**Professional Requirements**
- Completion of a nursing education program with a preference for a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience with hemodialysis experience favored.
- Intensive Care Unit experience is an advantage. CPR certification is essential.
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if driving is required.
