Pay Rate: $97 – $102/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative nursing supervision, coordinate patient care operations, and support safe, effective nursing services across assigned shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing supervision experience.

• Proven understanding of Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements.

• Strong clinical leadership and supervisory experience in an acute care hospital setting.

• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient safety, and quality standards.

• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to coordinate nursing operations and provide effective clinical oversight.

• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Active RN license applicable to New York State.

• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative supervision of nursing operations during assigned shifts.

• Coordinate and oversee patient care activities across assigned nursing units.

• Support nursing staff in addressing patient-care needs, staffing concerns, and clinical issues.

• Monitor patient safety, quality of care, and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in managing changes in patient condition and complex clinical situations.

• Assist with staffing assignments and allocation of nursing resources based on patient acuity and operational needs.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Ensure nursing practices are consistent with professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and other applicable healthcare regulations.

• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up as required.

• Promote effective communication among nursing staff, physicians, patients, and hospital leadership.

• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and infection-control initiatives.

• Address operational issues and escalate significant clinical or staffing concerns to appropriate leadership.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing activities.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
