Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shift (36 Hours/Week) | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1900–0700) | Every Other Weekend

Radius Rule

  • Traveler's permanent residence must be greater than 50 miles from the home unit.

Unit Information

  • 30-Bed Intensive Care Unit
  • Average Daily Census: 26 Patients
  • Minimum Experience Required: 2 Years of ICU Experience
  • First-Time Travelers Accepted

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

The ICU cares for a wide range of critically ill adult patients, excluding cardiac surgery patients.

Common Diagnoses Include

  • Sepsis
  • Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
  • GI Bleeds
  • Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
  • Cardiac Arrest
  • Substance Withdrawal
  • Renal Failure
  • Respiratory Failure
  • Multi-System Critical Care Patients

Note: Cardiac Surgical patients are not treated on this unit.

  • 1:1 – 1:2

If floating between facilities during a shift:

  • Travel time between facilities is paid
