Job Title: RN – ICU Float Pool
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Schedule:
• Night Shift | 3x12 Hours
• Every Other Weekend Required
Duration: 8 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Position Overview:
The Christ Hospital is seeking an experienced RN – ICU Float Pool to provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care across MICU, SICU, and CVICU units. The RN will deliver patient-centered care using clinical judgment, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational needs)
• Monitor and promptly report changes in patient condition
• Develop and revise individualized multidisciplinary care plans
• Deliver evidence-based ICU nursing care per hospital standards
• Administer medications, treatments, and critical care interventions safely
• Utilize SBAR and standardized handoff communication
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
• Respond to emergency and critical care situations
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery needs
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly
• Float between MICU, SICU, and CVICU as needed
Requirements:
• ICU Float Pool experience preferred
• MICU, SICU, or CVICU experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend required
• Strong critical care knowledge and rapid response skills required
• Diploma in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact License required
• BLS Certification required
• Additional ICU/critical care certifications preferred
