Local candidates will not be considered. Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position.
Float Pool position including floating to 34 bed PICU, 25 bed CICU, and 112 bed NICU.
Required Skills & Experience:
-Must have 3 years of level 1 Trauma experience and be able to float in all of children's. Specifically float to acute care units - surgical, behavioral health, med specialty (gi, neuro, respiratory), hem onc, step down unit, cardiac peds.
-Must have 3 years of experience in a level I trauma facility.
-Must have experience with trach, hi flow experience, familiar with infusion, first line for skills.
-Could be floated to NICU but only to take care of feeder growers, low acuity, not traditional NICU.
Required Education:
-Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Preferred Education:
-Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
-Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
-PALS (American Heart Association).

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

-Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
-Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician order on assigned patients.
-Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
-Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
-Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
-Delivers patient care competently.
-Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
-Informs patient and family of hospital procedures.
