RN II-PEDS (CNA)

RN II – Pediatrics (Contract | CNA-Represented)

Location: California, 93405
Contract Dates: May 3, 2026 – August 1, 2026 (13 weeks)
Pay: $1,962 – $2,203/week

Schedule:

• Night shift (2nd 12-hour shift rotation)

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shift equivalent)

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

• Provide pediatric nursing care for newborns through adolescents

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver age-appropriate nursing interventions

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and monitor physiological changes

• Support psychosocial needs of patients and families

• Educate patients/caregivers on care pre- and post-discharge

• Supervise and delegate to ancillary staff within scope

• Float and cross-train to NICU as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in California required

• Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)

• Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience required

• Experience with newborn step-down care preferred

• BLS required

• PALS required

• NRP required

Additional Details:

• CNA-represented position

• Must comply with hospital safety, quality, and documentation standards

• Participation in orientation, training, and unit education required

• Full adherence to vaccination policy (medical/religious exemptions may apply)
