Job Summary

Delivers coordinated nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process. Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams while utilizing critical thinking, clinical expertise, professional judgment, and supervisory skills to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

  • Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification: Required

Department-Specific Certifications

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Required

  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP): Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.

  • Collect and analyze patient health information to identify nursing diagnoses and develop appropriate care plans.

  • Coordinate and deliver patient care while promoting a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment.

  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and modify care plans as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

  • Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.

  • Delegate and coordinate responsibilities among healthcare team members as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
