Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery
Location: Morristown, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7a - 7p (Every Other Weekend)

Pay Rate: $73/HR ON W2

Summary:
The RN in Labor & Delivery will effectively function in a high-risk labor and delivery unit while managing a high patient census. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric, delivering appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive, and accurate.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills in support of patient care delivery and team concept.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient’s progress.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures, identifying areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a professional, courteous, and positive manner.
• Maintain confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines.
• Consistently follow the National Patient Safety Goals, including the use of safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, procedures, and equipment encountered for surgical patients.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on their needs and condition changes.
• Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and actively include them in teaching.
• Support the completion of patient testing in a timely manner, evaluating Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Required Skills:

• Competent knowledge of all normal stages of growth and development.
• Ability to deliver patient care appropriately across different age groups.
• Skill in performing direct patient care activities.
• Knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.

• ACLS - Required
