Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN to provide comprehensive maternal and patient care using the nursing process.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• Current NRP Certification.
• Successful completion of required pharmacology examination.
• Fetal Monitor Course every 2 years.
• Recent OB experience within the last 2 years.
• Proficiency with computerized nursing information systems.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• CPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Communicate patient information to physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel.
• Perform Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
• Support staff orientation and education.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Follow safety, infection-control, and hospital policies.
• Maintain professional development.
• Provide service excellence.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
