REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - LABOR & DELIVERY | FULL-TIME JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum process while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent Labor & Delivery experience as a Registered Nurse required
  • Clinical rotations and nurse residency programs do not count toward the required experience
  • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • National certification in Labor & Delivery or related specialty
  • Experience in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and quality patient care
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout labor and delivery
  • Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and communicate changes appropriately
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Coordinate patient care across the continuum of services
  • Support family-centered care and patient education
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based nursing practice
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and education
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Minimum one full year of post-graduate Labor & Delivery experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience managing laboring patients in an acute-care setting
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional maternal and newborn care
