About the Role

As a Labor and Delivery RN youll support mothers babies and families through labor delivery and the postpartum experience. Reporting to the Director of Obstetrical Nursing youll provide safe high-quality family-centered care while collaborating with physicians midwives and a dedicated team of professionals. What Youll Do
Provide labor support fetal monitoring and comprehensive care during labor and birth.
Circulate for cesarean section deliveries and assist in emergent situations.
Care for mothers and newborns in the immediate postpartum period.
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for mothers and infants.
Educate and empower patients and families throughout their childbirth journey.
Support continuity of care across Labor & Delivery MotherBaby and Special Care Nursery when needed.
Supervise and delegate care to support staff ensuring safe and effective practice.
Document all patient care clearly and accurately according to policy.
Participate in quality improvement unit projects and ongoing professional education.
Advocate for patients rights privacy and dignity in every interaction.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
Current Massachusetts RN license.
BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
Fetal monitoring certification and ACLS preferred.
Previous labor and delivery experience strongly preferred.
Excellent assessment communication and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work collaboratively stay organized and respond quickly in fast-paced situations.
Comfort with computer systems and commitment to confidentiality.
