About the Role

As a Labor and Delivery RN youll support mothers babies and families through labor delivery and the postpartum experience. Reporting to the Director of Obstetrical Nursing youll provide safe high-quality family-centered care while collaborating with physicians midwives and a dedicated team of professionals. What Youll Do

• Provide labor support fetal monitoring and comprehensive care during labor and birth.
• Circulate for cesarean section deliveries and assist in emergent situations.
• Care for mothers and newborns in the immediate postpartum period.
• Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for mothers and infants.
• Educate and empower patients and families throughout their childbirth journey.
• Support continuity of care across Labor & Delivery MotherBaby and Special Care Nursery when needed.
• Supervise and delegate care to support staff ensuring safe and effective practice.
• Document all patient care clearly and accurately according to policy.
• Participate in quality improvement unit projects and ongoing professional education.
• Advocate for patients rights privacy and dignity in every interaction.

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Fetal monitoring certification and ACLS preferred.
• Previous labor and delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent assessment communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively stay organized and respond quickly in fast-paced situations.
• Comfort with computer systems and commitment to confidentiality.
