Travel RN – Labor & Delivery / LDRP (Night Shift)

Location: Concord, NC (Greater Charlotte Area)

Position Type: Travel Contract (Backfill)

Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 1900–0700 (36 hours/week)

Schedule: 4-week cycle | Every other weekend | No On-Call

We are seeking a hardworking, team-oriented LDRP Registered Nurse for a premium travel assignment at a premier 457-bed Level 3 Trauma Center and Center of Excellence in Concord, NC. If you excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy regional flexibility, this position is for you!

Unit & Patient Care Details

  • Setting: 13 Labor beds, 5 Triage rooms | Average daily census of 9–10 patients.

  • Volume: Highly manageable 60–65 deliveries per month.

  • Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 (RN to Laboring Patient) ensuring high-quality, safe patient care.

  • Common Diagnoses: Active labor, triage, high-risk antepartum, immediate postpartum, and pre-eclampsia/hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Core Responsibilities & Skills

  • Manage labor, epidurals, and Pitocin protocols.

  • Circulate cesarean sections, handle pre-op, and manage PACU recovery.

  • Perform triage assessments and neonatal resuscitation when required.

  • Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Monica Novii/Neptune equipment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent LDRP experience.

  • Certifications: Active RN License, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM.

  • Radius Rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50+ miles away from the facility.

  • Holiday Requirement: Must be willing to work 75% of holidays during the contract period.

  • Requested Time Off (RTO): Up to 6 days allowed (excluding holidays). Note: Hours missed due to RTO must be added to the end of the contract.

Important Float Requirement: Candidates must be fully agreeable to floating within the region based on census needs. This includes Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and the Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH peds).
