Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care

Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Job Type: Contract
Duration: October 20, 2026 – January 16, 2027 | Approximately 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend and Holiday
Local Candidates: No
Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate:
Traveler: $58–$62/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Nursing degree from an accredited college/university or approved RN program

• Current, active, and unencumbered Massachusetts RN License

• BLS/CPR and AED certification required

• Strong knowledge of nursing and long-term care practices and regulations

• Ability to provide age-appropriate resident care

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

• Leadership and supervisory skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to plan and maintain quality nursing care

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to residents

• Supervise nursing assistants and other personnel

• Administer medications and prescribed treatments

• Perform RN medication administration duties

• Monitor medication and medical supply inventory

• Assist with admissions, transfers, orientations, and discharges

• Make physician rounds and coordinate resident care with physicians

• Participate in quality assurance programs and facility inspections

• Assist with discharge planning and maintain required documentation

• Complete nursing forms, reports, charts, and evaluations

• Maintain accurate admission, transfer, discharge, and daily nursing documentation

• Receive and document physician orders and update resident records

• Monitor vital signs and identify changes in resident conditions

• Report significant changes or reactions to medications and treatments

• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations

• May serve as a team leader for nursing personnel

• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and PHI

• Protect and respect resident rights

• Collaborate with the nursing team and maintain a positive work environment

• Handle challenging resident situations professionally and respectfully

• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
