ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF RN:
Perform and document all basic technical and emergency nursing skills, within the framework of licensure and as outlined on individual care plans
Document care delivery
Conduct observations, medication, and treatments promptly and accurately
Assume charge nurse duties when designated including but not limited to adjusting assignments and schedules to best meet needs of residents with appropriate use of personnel
Assess and document health status of all residents who are unstable or requiring intervention
Make rounds with physicians
Transcribe physicians orders
Assist, develop, revise, and review resident care plans
Evaluate staff observations
Use equipment and supplies in a precise, accurate, calm manner
Replace absent staff as necessary
Has access to confidential information and maintains confidentiality
Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and public
Additional duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF LPN:
Perform and document all basic technical and emergency nursing skills within the framework of licensure and as outlined on individual care plans
Document care delivery observations, medications, and treatments promptly and accurately
Provide direct resident care as needed
Request RN assessment/consultation for resident who show a change of condition
Use equipment and supplies in a precise, accurate and calm manner
Assume charge nurse duties when assigned including, but not limited to, adjusting assignment and schedule to best meet needs of residents and appropriate use of personnel
Under direction of the RN, monitor an document health status of all residents who are unstable or requiring intervention
Participate in care planning
Obtain needed intervention and monitor process or order follow through
Replace absent staff when necessary
Has access to confidential information/records and maintain confidentiality
Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and public
