Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead the Case Management department within an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, clinical practice, and performance of the Care Management team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care across the continuum.
The RN Manager will provide leadership, coordination, and oversight of case management services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, quality initiatives, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Case Management department
- Supervise Care Managers and support staff
- Ensure effective care coordination across the healthcare continuum
- Monitor, analyze, and report quality and performance improvement data
- Support patient-centered care planning, assessment, and transitions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and budgets
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff development
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, payers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Promote efficient utilization of healthcare resources
- Drive department performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 5 years healthcare experience
- Minimum 3 years acute care Case Management experience
- Minimum 1 year healthcare leadership experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage teams and drive operational performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare-related field
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Accredited Case Manager (ACM)
