The Manager of the Emergency Department manages the operations and activities of the ED Department. Assist Director of ED with the overall management of the departments operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established. Responsible for the staff performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital, department, and safety policies and procedures to meet both company care and regulatory requirements. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care to and acting as a liaison with patients and their representative, physicians, employees, and community agencies. Responsible for the efficient operation of the departments and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize cost. The manager assists the department director as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service. The manager assists the department director in meeting The Joint Commission Standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriate resource management.
Founded in 1974, HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital is a 317-bed acute care hospital. We offer a wide range of surgical and medical services. We have distinguished ourselves as a pioneer in breakthroughs in orthopedic care as well as joint replacement. We continue to build on this tradition in our Orthopedic and Spine Institute. Our Hospital is licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration. We are certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Our ER provides experienced, compassionate care for patients of all ages. This includes special accommodations for seniors. Our facility has a wound care center. We offer comprehensive diagnostic services that are accredited in multiple modalities. This includes pediatric CT imaging by the American College of Radiology.
