RN Manager Labor and Delivery

A 165-bed community hospital in Davie, FL is seeking an RN Manager for its Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Nursing Unit (PNU) Departments. The hospital, located in Broward County adjacent to Nova Southeastern University, offers a full range of services including maternity care, a 24/7 emergency department, robotic and minimally invasive surgical services, and all private patient rooms.

The role. The Nurse Manager leads a team of 27 FTEs across Labor and Delivery and the 20-bed Postpartum unit, which includes oversight of the newborn nursery and supports up to 1,500 births annually. This leader directs, plans, organizes, and evaluates both departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards set by State, TJC, CMS, AHCA, and other governing bodies. The role carries full accountability for staff performance, departmental budget management, and the coordination of patient services with hospital administration. The Manager integrates unit activities into the broader hospital organization and ensures operations remain both efficient and effective while meeting all corporate, departmental, and safety requirements.

What we're looking for.

• Must have min 1 yr L&D Mgr experience
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Current STABLE certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, day shift with no weekend requirement.

Compensation. $42.36 - $62.00/hr
