RN Manager – Labor & Delivery (URGENT)

Facility: Adventist Health Sierra Vista
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
Unit: Labor & Delivery

Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift (exempt role)

• 40 hrs/week

• Some evening visibility

• Weekend call required (every 3rd weekend)

Pay

• $104 – $106/hr

• Weekly Pay (40 hrs): $4,160 – $4,240/week

Required Credentials

• Active California RN License (required)

• BLS Certification (required)

• NRP Certification (required)

• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required

• Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN required or equivalent experience)

• Minimum 10 years leadership experience in L&D required

• Strong Labor & Delivery clinical background required

• Acute care hospital experience required

• Experience managing nursing staff and unit operations

Responsibilities

• Lead Labor & Delivery nursing unit operations

• Supervise RN staff and clinical workflows

• Ensure patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance

• Conduct staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations

• Collaborate with physicians and leadership teams

• Drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

• Oversee training, education, and staff development

• Manage unit performance metrics and operational efficiency
