Title: RN - Med-Surg Float Pool
Location: Albany, NY
Position Type: Travel
Time: 7:00 AM- 7:30 PM |3 days /week | 34.5 hours\week
Duration :10/19/2026 - 12/27/2026
Pay range - $60/hr - $63/hr

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds : 766 licensed beds
• Unit staffing description- (unit Productaries and tech availability) : Work side by side with members of interdisciplinary teams on all units: PA s, NP s, Residents, Attending MDs, Fellows, PCA, and ASAs
• Type of equipment : wound vac, EKG monitoring, advanced neuro assessments
• Documentation system: EPIC
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend; may request weekend block Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon
• Floating policy: to areas with competency.
• Patient Experience requirements: Working with a variety of different patient populations. Must be flexible in assignments, comfortable with change, and willing to learn new skills

Hospital Specifics-

• Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult/pediatrics); Children s Hospital within a hospital

Requested Skill Set: BLS, basic EKG interpretation, neuro assessment, vascular assessment

Advanced skills needed: Ability and willingness to float to 22 different medical and surgical units. Unit assignments will be made on a shift to shift basis to best meet the needs of each of these units.

Education & Certifications Required: BLS, NYS RN

Dress Code: (Required uniform)

Patient Population: A diverse population of all medical and surgical specialties

Test
1 year of experience required at a 600+ bed academic hospital w/passing competency testing score
