About the Unit:
Do you have a passion for orthopedic surgery? The 4th Floor Ortho Spine unit could be the perfect fit! This 26-bed adult medical/surgical unit focuses on patients undergoing total joint replacements and spinal surgeries. Schedule:  This position is 60 hours every two weeks on nights, 12-hour shifts (7PM – 7:30AM) with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

 

 

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

Required Qualifications

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• 1 year experience

Qualifications:

$44.68- $74.32 Hourly

This position is XX hours per two weeks on the Day/Eve/Night shifts (am/pm-am/pm), 8 or 12 hour shifts with every third or other weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
