Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Location: Viroqua, WI
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours Per Week
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotating Holidays
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in Viroqua, Wisconsin. This opportunity offers a collaborative work environment, supportive leadership, and the ability to care for a diverse patient population in a critical access hospital setting.
Requirements:
Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Compact License required.
Minimum 5 years of recent Med/Surg hospital experience required.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification required.
Current ACLS Certification required.
Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
Experience working independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg, Orthopedic, and pediatric overflow patients.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Support safe patient care and effective discharge planning.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver high-quality patient-centered care during overnight shifts.
Additional Information:
No on-call requirement.
Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Critical Access Hospital setting.
