Registered Nurse Med-Surg Adult / Med-Surg Ortho

13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Nights | Pennsylvania

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a Med-Surg Adult / Med-Surg Ortho setting. The RN will provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and will be responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Shift: 12-hour nights

• Schedule: 6:45 PM 7:15 AM

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

• Minimum Experience: 2 years

• State: Pennsylvania

• License: Active Pennsylvania RN license required

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care based on current nursing standards and knowledge.

• Assess patients' physical and healthcare needs.

• Develop individualized plans of care.

• Implement appropriate nursing interventions and treatment measures.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care and modify the plan of care as needed.

• Function effectively as a member of the healthcare team.

• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and staff.

• Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, families, and coworkers.

• Demonstrate sound judgment, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism when caring for patients and interacting with team members.

• In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, report to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of previous RN experience required.

• Med-Surg and/or Med-Surg Orthopedic experience preferred.

License

• Must hold a currently active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.

Certification

• BLS/BCLS required

• BLS must meet American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider standards and be maintained every two years.
