What Youll Be Doing
- Ensures excellent nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Utilizes the nursing process and caring model in delivery of patient care
- Educates patients and family
- Promotes patient satisfaction
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Includes standing, walking, pushing wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, lifting patient, occasionally must stoop, reach above head, carry medium to light equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:
Exposure to communicable diseases, blood and blood products, illness, confused and/or combative patients, hazardous chemicals, stressful situations, xrays, fluorscopy, sharp instruments, needles, and electricity.
REPORTS TO:
Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Charge Nurse or designee
CONTACTS:
Patients, Patients Family, Visitors, Physicians, Staff and other departmental personnel.
SUPERVISES:
Licensed Practical Nurse, Patient Care Partner, and other team members.
What Were Looking For
- EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- EXPERIENCE: Previous experience preferred
- LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current license to practice professional nursing in New Jersey.
- Completes I.V. certification course as per Hospital policy.
- Completes CPR certification course as per Hospital Policy.
