Baylor Scott & White Health - Waxahachie is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg/Telemetry team on the night shift. Shift & Schedule
Full‑Time (36 hours/week)
Night Shift: 6:45 PM-7:15 AM
Self‑scheduling model
No call requirement
Unit Details
25‑bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit
1:5 RN‑to‑patient ratio
High collaboration with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams
Supportive environment with strong teamwork culture
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (Texas or compact license)
Prior hospital experience
Strong time‑management abilities
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of nursing experience
Prior post‑surgical or orthopedic experience
Oncology experience (optional)
Opportunity available to be checked off for inpatient chemotherapy administration (not required)

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
