Job Title: RN - Med/Tele
Location: Brockton, MA
Duration: 3 months Contract
Schedule: 7p-7a (48 hours in a week)
Hourly rate: $51/hr to $61/hr on W2 (Negotiable)
Job Summary
  • Provide nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from newborn to geriatric populations.
  • Practice according to Department of Nursing policies, hospital procedures, and the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.
  • Work independently within established policies and goals.
  • Escalate clinical or operational concerns to the Nurse Manager or appropriate supervisor.
  • Direct and/or assist Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and ancillary nursing personnel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct age- and specialty-appropriate patient assessments and collect relevant health data.
  • Analyze assessment findings and identify appropriate nursing diagnoses.
  • Establish individualized patient goals and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans and interventions.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress in the medical record.
  • Provide safe, effective nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Administer prescribed medications and IV solutions safely.
  • Recognize and report significant changes in patient condition to physicians and appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families regarding their plan of care.
  • Support patients and families in coping with illness, stress, and end-of-life situations.
  • Advocate for patient dignity, safety, rights, and well-being.
  • Make ethical decisions and take appropriate actions on behalf of patients.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Apply current professional nursing standards, laws, regulations, and evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and required competencies.
  • Participate in continuing education as required by Massachusetts regulations.
  • Support the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers.
  • Use clinical inquiry and research to inform nursing practice.
  • Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost when planning and delivering patient care.
  • Follow all nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient dignity, cultural diversity, and professional communication standards.
  • Utilize LEAN strategies for process improvement and systematic problem-solving.
  • Perform unit-specific competencies as required by the Nurse Manager or Staff Educator.
  • Assume additional responsibilities, including covering for the Nurse Manager when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Open to beginning practitioners/new graduate nurses.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience with MEDITECH electronic medical record/software systems.
