Description
Job Summary:
The Medical/Surgical RN provides comprehensive care to patients who are recovering from surgery or managing complex illnesses. The RN will work in a dynamic and challenging environment where they will be required to provide top-notch medical care and emotional support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patient conditions by monitoring vital signs, symptoms, and surgical sites.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Operate medical equipment necessary for patient care.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans for patients.
Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and managing illness at home.
Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
Adhere to all nursing and hospital policies and standards of care.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Valid RN license in the state of practice.
BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in a medical-surgical setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare software systems.
