Schedule: 3x12s; 36 hours/week

Pay Rate

• Local: $62–$67/hr, based on experience

• Traveler: $62–$67/hr, based on experience

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License required at submission

• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing experience

• Travel nursing experience required

• Current AHA BLS certification

• Epic EMR experience

• NURSYS report required

• License verification for active NY RN license and all other active RN licenses

• Current resume documenting 2+ years of MS and travel experience

• Medical-Surgical skills checklist

• Valid driver's license with matching demographic address

• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted with the candidate

• Must be willing to float as required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients.

• Care for patients with abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, morbid obesity, and post-surgical/bariatric conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.

• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to healthcare providers.

• Manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, recovery, and discharge.

• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.

• Float to other units according to hospital staffing needs.
