  • Traveler's permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the home unit.

Unit Information

  • 32-Bed MedSurg/Telemetry Unit
  • Average Daily Census: 32 Patients
  • Minimum Experience Required: 18 Months of MedSurg/Telemetry RN Experience
  • First-Time Travelers Accepted

Patients commonly admitted to the unit include:

  • Stroke Patients
  • Respiratory Illnesses
    • Influenza
    • Pneumonia
    • COVID-19
  • Renal Failure
  • Peritoneal Dialysis Patients
  • Wound Care Patients
  • General Medical and Telemetry Patients

Patient Ratios

RN

  • Typical Ratio: 1:5–1:6
  • Surge Staffing: Up to 1:7–1:8

LPN

  • Typical Ratio: 1:5–1:6
  • Surge Staffing: Up to 1:7–1:8

CNA

  • 1:10

Required Floating

Travelers must be willing to float within Region 3 based on staffing needs.

Mid-Shift Floating

  • Employee remains on the clock
  • Paid travel time between facilities

Candidates unwilling to float within Region 3 should not be submitted.

Scheduling Information

Shift

  • 12-Hour Night Shift
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 36 Hours Per Week

Weekend Requirement

  • Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Schedule Cycle

  • Every 6 Weeks

Call & Low Census Information

On-Call Requirement

  • No scheduled call

  • Possibility of low census call

Call-Back Requirements

  • Night Shift: May be called back until 3:00 AM
  • Day Shift: May be called back until 3:00 PM

Holiday Requirements

  • Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays

Time-Off Requests

  • Up to 6 Days May Be Approved
  • Holidays cannot be included in approved RTO
  • Contract may be extended if needed to satisfy contracted hours
