Position Description

RN - MICU - 3

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week.

* Holidays as required by facility

* Every other weekend required

Our Medical Intensive Care Unit is a 16bed high acuity unit that provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients

. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency.

The nurses work to collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

. Our team is dedicated to making our patient’s experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.

Education - Required

· Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

· AHA ACLS

· AHA BLS

· AHA NIH

OR RED CROSS

Certifications - Preferred

· PALS – If working in pediatric unit

. Licenses – Required

· Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)

· Nursys

Experience - Required:

2 years’ experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty.
