Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Work Days: Monday–Friday
The RN Mother/Baby will provide primary nursing care to postpartum and mother-baby patients in collaboration with patients and their families. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the complete nursing care process, including assessment, development and implementation of the plan of care, intervention, and evaluation, while following professional nursing standards and specialty requirements.
This position requires 40 hours per week on the night shift. No schedule variations will be accepted.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to Mother/Baby and postpartum patients.
• Provide nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Perform appropriate nursing interventions.
• Evaluate patient responses and the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Assume responsibility for the nursing care process for assigned patients.
• Provide care in accordance with the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Nursing Practice.
• Maintain required nursing credentials, certifications, and Rhode Island licensure.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and specialty-specific competencies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island RN license or applicable compact RN license.
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Mother/Baby or Postpartum nursing experience.
• BLS certification – AHA required.
• NRP certification required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required – no exemptions.
• Flu vaccination required.
• Must be proficient in the English language.
• Must maintain current licensure and required nursing credentials/certifications.
