The NICU is a 10-bed unit caring for neonates from 30 weeks gestation to term with a variety of medical needs. We have 247 neonatology coverage.

Responsibilities
To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse skill level in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care with a minimum of assistance. To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Hospital. To exercise accountability, responsibility, authority, and autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise.
